Bucky’s back hit the sofa cushions and, he was fairly sure, began to sink down between them like melting butter.
“That’s good,” he groaned, wiggling until he was occupying all the available space.
Steve reached over the back of the sofa and tried to tug the rug out from under Bucky. He failed.
“Sorry that didn’t work out for you,” Bucky yawned.
“Jerk,” Steve said, eyes blue as topaz and glinting like Clark Gable. Bucky considered bounding up to kiss the smile from his face but decided against it. He was too comfortable to move.
