Summary
Amethio caught himself at the edge of the doorframe, trying to stop the harsh breaths threatening to send him into shock.
'You’re fine,' his brain repeated to his tear ducts and his spasming muscles. 'A failure is not allowed to complain. You’re still alive.'
He considered going back, demanding an answer from Gibeon. Surely his master would know what was going on inside his own building. But that would mean admitting that his mind was not fully sound, that he was questioning his physical and mental wellbeing. He should have considered himself lucky that he was simply removed from the mission, when his master was the only reason he had his routine, his skill as a trainer, a home, people to serve him.The mission had to come first.

If he allowed himself to love Friede, Amethio knew he’d be force feeding the professor a poisoned chalice of his terror and heartbreak and baggage. Arceus knows Friede had been fed too much of it already.
And yet, Friede made it so hard to just break it off. Friede, who rested his hand at the small of Amethio’s back during breakfast because he liked to be touching him. Friede, who would reach out to push Amethio’s bangs behind his ear with soft fingertips. Friede, who gave Amethio the strawberries from his ice-cream because the professor knew he liked them but would never admit to it, only to kiss the taste from his lips afterwards.
Amethio wanted him.
Too bad he didn’t deserve him.
___Amethio worries over his relationship with Friede. Luckily, Friede isn't worried at all.

Summary
Amethio stood up when the lesson drew to a close, only to find himself stumbling onto his hands and knees. Every muscle within him fought to keep his gag reflex from churning up his breakfast.
“Stand up,” Hamber said.
Amethio stood up.
Amethio went to battle practice.
Amethio’s eyes unfocused midway through issuing Charcadet a move and he collapsed yet again, a sheen of freezing sweat matting his hair.
Charcadet turned in immediate panic, leading Hamber’s Dusknoir to slam a shadow ball into it from the back, knocking it out in an instant. Hamber sighed.
“I’m going to have to report your continued symptoms to Master Gibeon. Your health is becoming a cause for concern."
“Please don’t,” Amethio begged him, wide eyed, as he scrambled to his fainted pokemon. “Hamber. He can’t know.”
___Amethio gets sick aboard the Brave Olivine and follows his usual procedures. Friede has no idea why Amethio won't just rest.
