“I'm afraid I don't know who you are.” Jude gave her a sidelong glance, some blend of curiosity, irritation, and amusement darting across her face.
“Georgie. Georgie Barker, I'm Jon’s friend.”
Jude raised an eyebrow. “What, seriously? The Archivist already sending his minions after me? All because I asked him to shake my hand?”
Georgie glowered. “Not quite.” The words were crisp, and she managed to keep most of the bitterness out of them. “But something’s happened to him, and I'm going to get him back.”
Another dubious look. “Are you."
