Summary
JULY 2010.
In the original story, it lasted less than three seconds.
The elevator stopped on the sixth floor. A woman stepped forward.
"I am…"
The doors closed.
Ilya Rozanov never learned what Shane Hollander's mother wanted to say.
He rode to the fourteenth floor, unaware that he had narrowly escaped one of the most awkward conversations of his life.
But what if the doors had stayed open?
What if Yuna Hollander had introduced herself?
What if, instead of letting the elevator leave, she had stepped inside?
And what if she had decided that going downstairs could wait?
Suddenly, Ilya's carefully planned trip to room 1410 becomes a nightmare of polite small talk, uncomfortable questions, and increasingly desperate attempts to look normal while talking to the completely unsuspecting mother of the boy he's secretly hurrying to meet.Series

Summary
JULY 2010.
In the original story, Shane Hollander loses his nerve at the last minute. He changes out of the suit, pulls on regular clothes, and waits for Ilya Rozanov to arrive at Room 1410.
But what if he didn't?
What if Shane stood in front of the mirror, looked at the suit, and decided to keep it on?
What if, when the clock struck nine and Ilya knocked on the door, Shane opened it looking less like someone waiting for a hookup and more like someone preparing for the fanciest first date in Canadian history?
Ilya expected many things when the door opened.
A nervous Shane. An awkward Shane. Maybe even a panicking Shane.
He did not expect Suit Shane.
"Shane…" Ilya said slowly.
"What?"
"...Why do you look like you are about to ask for my hand in marriage, yes?"
Shane immediately wanted the floor to swallow him whole.
Unfortunately for him, Ilya thought it was the most adorable thing he had ever seen.Series

Summary
FEBRUARY 2011.
One interview that hockey fans would talk about for years.
In the original story, the pressure falls on Ilya Rozanov.
A reporter asks a complicated question in rapid English. Ilya freezes, his still-developing language skills leaving him stranded in front of a room full of waiting journalists.
Before the silence can become embarrassing, Shane Hollander quietly steps in, translating the question and helping him answer.
But what if things had happened differently?
What if the reporters hadn't gone after Ilya?
What if Shane had been the one struggling?
And what if Ilya noticed immediately?
Because sometimes the person who needs saving changes.
And at the end of the interview, beneath the cameras, headlines, and flashing lights, one thing remains exactly the same. A quiet tap of a shoe under the table.
A reminder:
I've got you.Series

Summary
FEBRUARY 2011.
In the original story, the night in Room 1221 goes exactly as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov planned.
After Shane breaks the All-Star Shot Accuracy record, he follows Ilya to his hotel room. They spend the evening alone, exchange private phone numbers under ridiculous aliases, and make plans to see each other again in Montreal.
Simple. Secret. Successful.
But what if things had gone differently?
What if, moments after Shane arrived at Room 1221, there was a knock at the door?
What if the person standing outside wasn't a teammate, hotel staff, or room service, but Scott Hunter?
Suddenly Shane is hiding in the bathroom, Ilya is trying (and failing) to act normal, and Scott is becoming increasingly suspicious.
Because sometimes the biggest obstacle to a secret meeting isn't the hockey world.
Sometimes it's Scott Hunter looking for the All-Star schedule.Series

Summary
FEBRUARY 2011.
In one version of the story everything was simple.
A snowstorm buried Boston in white silence, flights were grounded, and Ilya Rozanov never made it across the border. Shane Hollander waited in Montreal while winter quietly erased the possibility of “next time".
And that was it.
A missed game. A missed chance. A closed door.
But this is not that story.
This time there is no storm. No cancelled flights. No excuses written in weather reports.
The game is in Boston, under bright arena lights and clear skies, as if the universe itself decided to behave.
Shane Hollander lands in Boston.
Ilya Rozanov is already there.
And somewhere between chirps on the ice and glances that linger too long, they both realize something worse than distance is possible.
Because when nothing stops them from meeting… there’s nothing left to blame when everything still goes wrong.Series

Summary
JUNE 2011.
In the original version of the story, Rookie of the Year winner Shane Hollander stumbles onto a quiet hotel rooftop after one too many drinks and finds Ilya Rozanov alone with the city lights. Hurt by Ilya's coldness throughout the evening, Shane confronts him, only to discover that Ilya is struggling with something far deeper: the looming trip back to Russia and a family he doesn't want to face. Their conversation ends with a kiss and a painful goodbye.
But what if the rooftop wasn't empty?
What if Ilya wasn't alone?
In this alternative version, Shane arrives to find Ilya laughing with fellow Rookie of the Year finalist Vincent Lemaire and, thanks to a dangerous combination of alcohol, insecurity, and terrible judgment, immediately assumes the worst.
The result?
One increasingly jealous Shane Hollander.
One delighted Ilya Rozanov who absolutely refuses to stop making things worse.
And one completely bewildered Vincent Lemaire who spends the entire conversation wondering why two NHL rookies are arguing about absolutely nothing.Series
