Will’s brows immediately furrow at the response, his smile fading to a confused frown. He looked at every bit of the photo, there was nothing bad about it. He stared at the message before his eyes flicked to the contact.
A contact that was not Max.
Will felt himself freeze in his spot, his face turning mortified. His eyes widened as he stared at the contact and picture.
Mikey 🗡️
He just sent that to Mike.
As in his best friend Mike.
“Oh god.” Will whispered, his voice just as mortified as his face. He felt all of the nerves flood his veins like a tsunami in an instant.

They both walked outside and both words died on their tongues as they spotted the pouring rain outside. Will looked around with a slightly jerked head.
“Right.”
Mike hummed from beside him, “I’ll get the car?” Will looked up for a second and tugged him forward. Mike stopped him quickly as he saw the sly smile on his face.
“Will,” he warned, “these suits are expensive.”
“And where else are you going to wear it?”
“Dunno..” Mike shrugged, “somewhere.”
Will shrugged back, more sarcastically, “guess I’ll have alll the funnn” he let go of Mike’s arm and slowly walked backwards with a challenging look.
Mike watched him for a moment then evidently joined him in the rain. Will laughed as he grabbed Mike’s hand to pull him deeper.
And for the first time, Mike’s life felt like a movie.

Or: Mike finally comes to New York and has to face Will straight on and not from the safety of his phone. Though the conversations turn into questions, and Mike tries to figure things out on his own.
