Summary
Now that Raz is a Junior Psychonaut, he thinks he's ready for the big time, but when Sasha gets him a place on the Pelican for a simple fact-finding mission, he ends up pitched against the Psychonauts' next world-threatening foe. Escaped convict Grinsmith Forrut "Hornblower" Horatio has perfected a fatal technique he calls the "Mind Bomb" with the goal of killing all Non-Psychics on the planet. Even worse, when the mission goes south and the superstar special agents fall victim to his attacks, it'll be up to Raz to save the day once again. Can he find Hornblower's detonation code before his human bombs go off? And will his mentors still be in one piece when all this is over?
Mostly a Raz and Sasha mentor story. Hurt/comfort for Raz emotionally, Sasha physically, Milla mentally. Oleander ego-ly, I guess? It's hard to keep Oleander down. This one is going to be a long one and there's no update schedule so just be warned about that. Warnings and tags are accurate.

Summary
Since Whispering Rock and Truman’s disappearance, the Psychonauts had been way off kilter. Now that the danger has passed, Forsythe is looking to fix it. However, given the secrets that were revealed during the ‘mole incident’, she is worried about what else is hiding in the organization’s past. Not only that but the ‘week from hell’ as she called it, showed just how vulnerable the organization is.
The Aquatos' lives had been simple if you didn’t count the circus. Or well it had been, until Raz had left for camp. From there the family was swept up into a plot that nearly ended the world. They had survived but their former life had been wrecked. The family is now struggling with how to proceed despite it. Raz chose to remain with Psychonauts, while Augustus tries to make sense of the life he thought he knew. Frazie struggles with what path to choose. Donatella and the rest were left adrift.
Everything around them is in a sort of unstable truce. All the secrets are out in the open but stacked precariously on top of one another. This careful balance is tipped when a local drug case becomes personal for everyone.

Raz awkwardly held up his cup of water. “I was just, uh, getting... something to drink.”
“I was doing the same exact thing,” Adam commented, finally actually stepping into the kitchen area and getting a glass out of a cupboard. He then moved to the sink and began to fill up the glass. “How come you’re not asleep yet, then? We were just watching a, uh, interesting movie. You could’ve joined us.”
“It seemed pretty awful from what I heard,” Raz replied dryly, saying nothing else.
Adam shrugged. He couldn’t argue with that. “It was funny, though.” He took a sip of his water. “You seem tired,” he commented, trying to imply something here, if Raz would get the hint.
Raz didn’t say anything for a moment. “I am,” he finally said, once again saying nothing else.
(or: during a junior agents sleepover, raz can't sleep for....reasons, and adam helps him out with a little conversation.)

Ophelia began to finish sewing. She’s done this countless times before, making clothes for Junior agents and Senior Agents alike. All she had to do was feel their psychic auras to really get the clothes right, from their personalities and views to their abilities and secrets.
She had asked her new Apprentices family all she could about him. After adding the dangling blue teardrop beads to the ends of the coat she took a step back to really see it for as it is.
She was so nervous. Truman had come into her office ( just a camper van in the parking lot) to give her an assignment to temporarily mentor a Junior agent since his old one turned out to be evil and no mentoring was done at all. But to also take Hollis’s place to teach and keep an eye on the Junior agents since she left for her vacation.
She glances at the fat folder on the table next to her, containing all the info on the Junior Agents. ”Razputin.Aquato . Seems like a good kid. Hopefully taking care of eight kids is the same as taking care of two “ She looks at her Archetype who only just shrugged their papery shoulders to her, sitting from the other side of the table. her smile falters. ”..it's not gonna be, is it?. ”Series

It was a typical mission about a psychic getting out of control. Overgrown plants was an uncommon thing, but Raz had been through plenty of practice with Truman in the past. But everything is turned on its head when Raz meets the identity of this new psychic. And their mother agrees to work with the Psychonauts. Raz never thought he would see her again.
This is a story about trust:
About a man whose trust was broken in the past and has to face the one that broke it.
A woman who forcefully closed off her trust even to those who could have helped the most.
A son who was raised with little to no people in his life other than his mother suddenly thrust into a large group of strangers.
