Summary

SO GOOD. READ. HAVE tO. ITS GOOD
Most fanfics jump too fast and only focuses on things that move the plot along, this fic meanwhile builds on the characters interactions, spending time on the lives of em even when the plot isn’t specifically expanding, It feels like the author picked out a random part of Dick’s day to day life and showed it to the viewers, letting us digest the relationships and feel the emotions when the eventual angst hitsThings that I PERSONALLY think (They’re not that bad)
Only things that put me off (only slightly, not much, ever ever ever so slightly) is that some characters go really out of character, but the author gave prior warning about this so it’s chill, another is that it’s rather lengthy, but that’s just a me thing. I can’t really read too much details before getting kinda bored, but it’s also what gives suspense and building so it’s chill, AGAIN, A ME PROBLEM. OVERALL, 9.8/10

Summary
Lo’ak swatted errant vines and foliage aside as he led Tsireya through the forest. Their voices were too soft for Aonung to detect, even when his ears twitched to listen in. What was he blathering about, anyway? Tsireya didn’t look all that invested.
At least, that was what Aonung told himself for comfort. It helped.
“What are they doing together?” Aonung whispered to Neteyam.
A grin formed on Neteyam’s face. He nudged Aonung. “Should we mess with them?”
Aonung caught Neteyam’s raised hand, armed with a sprig of ferns at the ready. “You don’t want to get caught, do you?”
“Oh. Right.”
Curiosity lent Aonung the courage to lean over the edge of the hammock to inspect closer. Truthfully, he could despise his little sister sometimes—usually when she left her crafting needles sticking point-up in the marui—but he’d never, ever subject her to Lo’ak as punishment. That would be inhumane. And, Eywa forbid, it looked like Lo’ak liked Tsireya.
He was going to put a stop to it.Or: Aonung devises a plan to break Lo’ak and Tsireya apart, only managing to successfully sabotage himself. Luckily for him, Neteyam is there to save him. And vice-versa.

Sanji never expected to be captivated by a merman beyond the water. They had some kind of friendship, if you could even call it that. A kind of one sided infatuation with lingering stares upon scales and curious blinking from the fish.But the fish wasn’t there today.
He had named him Zoro, mainly because of the noise he would make when his mouth reached the surface. It almost sounded like ‘zo zo zo’.
The prince looked over from his perched stance and squinted at the water. There were bits of ice that frosted over and bits that stayed too wet and flowing. It was perplexing but he didn’t think too much about it. Maybe Zoro was old enough and finally migrated out to sea. Maybe he needed to go home for fish Christmas, if that was even a thing.

He blinked a few times to ensure he wasn’t dreaming. If he was dreaming then it would mean he wouldn’t have a friend. This meant he had to have a friend, right? Zoro was real, that meant maybe he could speak. Maybe he could breathe and become more humanoid than his fish form. Maybe he could live with Sanji and— well, he was getting ahead of himself. Sanji reached out and touched along Zoro’s face. He used his right back to cup the man’s cheek and feel along his skin. It was smooth and slicked with cold water that made him shiver.Zoro nuzzled his nose against Sanji’s digits, burrowing against his touch. He seemed to relish in it. Almost melt in it. The prince’s touch was an elixir that got him calm. There was an air of familiarity with Sanji that made Zoro relax and desperately want to break the distance. It was odd. This was officially the first time they had met like this, with his new form, and it felt as though they had known each other for years. Well, it had been months where the blonde would dispose of his deepest secrets but he never thought that Zoro would understand them… remember them.
“San…ji…” Zoro spoke almost broken. His eyes opened again and he blinked a few times, “Sanji. Sanji,” a small purr escaped his throat as he spoke. It got louder as he continued, before he kept forward and wrapped his scaled arms around the prince. Sanji soon realized he was wrong that the fish man did have legs, concealed by a long tail. He learned this when he was lifted off the ground and put in a tight embrace.
“Sanji. Sanji. Sanji,” Zoro nuzzled into him with a kind of excitement to his tone.
“Oh my… oh my god,” Sanji stared down at the fishman who nestled his face against his neck, against the top of his chest and continued to nestle and burrow like he had just met a dear friend. In a way they were dear friends, even if they had never truly spoken to one another.
“Never thought… I’d get to say your name,” Zoro spoke through his throaty purr, “Hope you can swim, princey.”
“Hold on— swim— WAITWAITWAIT—” Before Sanji could protest further he felt himself become forcibly submerged by water. It was a few seconds before his eyes opened and he gazed at Zoro through ripples of the lake. It was crystal clear to see him floating there, watching with an excited grin. Clearly he didn’t realize Sanji couldn’t breathe water.
