It was a normal day Vincent was 5 years old sitting on the porch with a book about sharks his mom had given him for his birthday a few weeks ago. He was particularly absorbed in the page about the great white shark and didn’t hear his neighbor across the street throw their son (6 years old) out of the house. Vincent kept reading oblivious to the yelling he turned the page now reading about lemon sharks. He continued reading for a while not hearing the yelling across the street.
“If you can’t appreciate this house then you can stay out of it” the neighbor screamed before slamming the door and locking his young son outside.
Suddenly the page Vincent was looking at (the one about tiger sharks) was coated in shadow. He looks up to see what was blocking his light and comes face to face with a boy he doesn’t recognize.
