Summary
It felt like forgetting the words to your favourite song, or taking a bite of your favourite food and realising the taste had grown stale. Usually, Jase lived for this type of thing. Stadium tours were always demanding, but the adrenaline would make her feel like she could keep playing forever. That surge of power, the response from the crowd, the connection she felt to the others up on stage. The way her instrument, the bass guitar, became an extension of her own body, and the way she became an extension of the music. The bond between her and her fellow musicians.
Normally, it was the best feeling in the world. But when the band rounded up their set that night, all Jase could think was 'Oh thank God.'

Metallica has been on the road for over a year, and touring together with Guns-N-Roses has put everyone on edge. Jase is still being treated as an outsider, Jamie is falling apart after her accident in Montreal, and something has got to give between them eventually.
