Summary
This story is written from Hermione's POV. It is written in conversational English. Please accept the fact that it has an abundance of unnecessary, as Stephen King would call them, adverbs. It starts before she heads off to Hogwarts. I use ---s to create longer pauses than commas. Initially, the story will largely align with the canon. However, it will include original content and scenes. As it progresses, it will start wandering further and further away from the canon main line until it becomes an almost A/U story. The eventual ending will be well into the post-Hogwarts era.
Near the end, there will be a major twist that will bring the whole story into a different light--and set up the ultimate ending.
A note about ANGST. This story is an angst festival of sorts. The saying goes: To achieve and appreciate the highest high, you must first visit the lowest low. This story makes several dives into the depths of angsty despair.
