Everything is so miserably hard, down to his scrambling thoughts and failing instincts. Not even the thought of warm, fresh, wholesome blood could entice him, insides still churning as they are, so when he presses his face into the crook of Daniel's neck it is merely for the animal comfort of the gesture.
Whatever burden his weight is, he feels small in Daniel's arms. Weaker than he's been in decades, centuries, even.
And foolish. He feels horribly, inexpressibly foolish.
A night at the club turns into a nauseous nightmare when Armand drinks dead blood from an overdose. Daniel's not exactly clear-headed himself, but he has to take the reins to help a messy, weakened Armand flee the murder scene and get him home to recover. Sickfic and diminished capacity shenanigans ensue.
