It was the aching desire for someone, anyone, like him. Doctor Sung had always seen his own perpetuity as a burden, a curse, a life he was sentenced to. It was a longing for anything he had not to grieve anymore, something he could cherish, promising he wouldn’t be left behind at least this one time. A scavenged robot with a few parts replaced--including red LEDs screwed into the hollow holes of the eyes, an 808 drum machine fastened tightly for a heart, and now, Doctor Sung’s Device zapping brightly hovering in his chest.
