Time had to hand it to them. These would-be assassins had come prepared. But if they wanted to kill Princess Zelda, they would have to get through eight battle-proven heroes who specialized in saving princesses and countries. Time adjusted his grip on his blade, sizing up his next opponent. No. Princess Zelda would not be dying today. He would make sure of it.
Or: The Chain portals right into the middle of an assassination plot against Princess Zelda. Even though this Zelda belongs to a Link they haven't met yet, the Chain will stop at nothing to protect her.

“I didn’t know you also did stuff like this, rancher,” Warriors spoke up, watching the spectacle unfold.
Time also looked surprised, and there was a questioning glint in his eye. Though if he had anything to comment on, it went unsaid, for which Twilight was thankful.
Twilight waved his hand dismissively through the air. “Nah, I’m probably rusty; I just figured it was worth a shot.” That much was probably true. He hadn’t been able to visit the yetis since his journey with the rest of the heroes had begun, since Snowpeak was so hard to get to without warping. What he neglected to mention was just how much time he’d spent racing his old snowboarding friends. For all the time that Wild had spent shield-surfing across Hyrule, he’d never had anyone to race against except himself.
All that, of course, went unsaid to Wild, who still hovered nearby. “Okay, well, just be careful to stick to the path—”
Twilight gave a curt nod. “A’right, I think I got it. Meet you at the bottom?” And with that, he gave two strong pushes off the ground to move forward before leaning into the shallow dip that started the hill’s decline.OR
Twilight gets to show Wild how he snowboards. And he's a pro at it.

“Okay, did someone get cursed? Is that what’s happening here?” Legend demanded, turning on his heel to scowl at everyone as they exited the portal with equal suspicion. The budding freckles forming under his healing sunburn did not make his glare less menacing. “If someone got cursed, speak up now.”
“I don’t think this is a curse,” Four said, unenthusiastically rubbing at a charred spot on his leggings. “If it was, we’d be able to do something about it.”
“I don’t like this,” Hyrule said, as though coming to a realization. “I don’t like this? I don’t want to be in the desert any more. Can we leave?”
“Depends. Can you break curses?”
“Or, since it’s probably not a curse," Four said, “as these are portals leading to set locations, how’s your ability to teleport?”

"Don't do that." The Captain hissed, pulling Wild's hand off the injury.
The Champion went completely rigid at that, and something in Time's pitying expression shifted.
It looked like he wanted to say something, do something even, but he didn't, so Wild didn't have any more in him than to yield to Warriors, and to stare pleadingly at Time, helpless even.
"What's that look for? Warriors meanly spat, and Wild hung his head low in an unspoken apology. That made Time speak up, that made him unwilling to watch any more of this unfold, for Wild to any more upset.
"Stop it, Wars." He warned. "He won't cooperate with us like this, not if you keep scaring him."
Wild shifted, he even crawled back a little, only when he was sure that Warriors attention was on Time, who dared to speak back to him.
It didn't sound like Time was trying to help him, trying to save him. It sounded as though they wanted something from Wild, they spoke of The Champion as though he wasn't there, as though he hadn't any feelings of his own.
"He clearly needs stitches." The Captain countered, no room in his tone for Time's niceties. "Any longer we sit on this, we put The Champion in any more unnecessary danger."
