    [The Grabber stumbled, collapsed, and morphed back into Vecna. An axe was sticking out of Vecna’s back, blackish-red blood oozing from around the blade and running in rivulets down the vines. The hands still gripping the axe ripped it out and raised it high, ready to strike again if needed.

    Robin Arellano looked back at Steve, just as he was the last time Steve saw him except he was missing his bandana and he had a jagged cut slicing across his throat, caked in dried blood.]

    OR: Steve gets Vecna’d. He’s also Finney Blake and is confronted by his memories of the Grabber, but when Vecna is about to kill him, he’s saved by the ghost boys.

    Robin is great. She tells jokes that make him laugh, she's smarter than he could ever wish to be, and she isn't afraid to tell him that he was a total dick in high school. She should be everything Steve should want.

    But she isn't.

    Because she isn't his Robin.

    She doesn't explain movies just so Steve can get lost in the story. She doesn't look at Steve like he hung the world when she thinks he's not paying attention. She isn't him.

    But Steve could never tell her that.
