One good thing about working the evening shift on Mondays and Wednesdays was the late night lull that allowed Sakura time to study for the Advanced Organic Chemistry course that kicked her sleepy ass every Tuesday and Thursday morning.
It’s not that she didn’t enjoy the class, or that the material was incomprehensible. No, the ass-kicking only occurred because she chose to work the closing shifts at Konoha Coffeehouse the nights before her 7:30 AM class. Was it self-inflicted? Totally. Did she struggle keeping herself awake on the exceptionally textbook heavy days? Also totally.
______Sakura works in a coffeshop. She gets a regular silver-haired visitor who may or may not have been her ex-professor.

“You know how this feels,” Sakura said, tilting her head towards him in something like curiosity.
Kakashi’s fingers squeezed her shoulder. He didn’t move for a moment—but then he slowly nodded.
“I—know how this feels,” he murmured, agreeing.
Paperwork didn’t help. Lying in her bed didn’t help. Sparring helped. Healing helped. The hospital helped. Drinks at a bar bought for her from across the room helped.
This, Sakura realized, helped. This made it easier.
