Summary
Everyone knows what Red Alert is, one of the longest RTS. Branched off from C&C Tiberian Dawn. But do you know about Warzone 2100? Another Sci-Fi Military RTS, originally published for the Playstation in the year 1999. The studio that made it sadly fell apart. But fans kept it alive, and was open-sourced in 2008. You play as a commander of The Project, a group of survivors who managed to stumble upon a military base after a nuclear apocalypse caused by malfunctioning, WMD-hosting satellites. You will stop at nothing to make America great again. The game also had some very unique features, such as units being modular and customisable. The tech tree and research was extensive, along with magnificent forms of artillery and counter-artillery.
