Summary
“So what will you do now?” Remus asked in a slow voice and it made Sirius smile a bit.
“We take care of Harry Potter, of course.”
“We?” Remus repeated in a question with low mirth, but he was smiling now too. Sirius leaned over and tapped his arm.
“I did say we, didn’t I?”
“Yes, well of course *we*. You idiot.” He didn’t turn to look at him. “You’ve brought him here. So I’m an accomplice now. And I’ll be damned if you take James and Lily’s son to raise without me. You’ll need all the help you can get.”

Summary
Sirius paused, Mad-eye's harsh words ringing in his head. He could almost feel the slap upside his head, admonishing him for getting triggered too easily. Emotions were a weapon in battle just like any other. Use them, or die by getting used by them.
No, he was not going to die being a slave to his own emotions. Harry needed him to be better. He took a deep breath, pulling himself under control. He would make the Rat pay first. Then he would return for Harry.
"Just a little longer, Harry. Don't worry. Padfoot is coming for you."
