Summary
The Justice League trusts Batman. The Justice League has never been loyal to Batman. It's always been an issue, but after an encounter with the Joker that resulted in a near fatal one-on-one battle with Superman, it's now a bigger problem than ever. A few discovered contingency plans, one pissed off group of superheroes, and one Batman refusing to apologize later, and things between the League's Founding Members are finally hitting their breaking point. Add in one newly minted, pissed off Robin, and the pot begins to boil over entirely. And this time, what's been broken may not be fixable.

Bruce wayne was never tethered to life by happiness.
He was tethered by usefulness.
By the quiet certainty that somewhere, someone required him to exist tomorrow. That his presence filled a gap that could not yet be closed. That if he stopped moving, stopped breathing, something vital would fail. someone would fall.
so when he knows his kids dont need him anymore, bruce wayne decides to leave, for he does not have a purpose anymore.

Anger, he could handle that.
Fear? No, he couldn't.
And knowing that Bruce's illness was stealing his last years with more cruelty than anything the Joker or Bane had ever done was terrifying.

Summary
It had been a long time since the bat signal called Jason. A long time since that particular beacon had anything to do with him. He stuck to his streets. Dealt with Black Mask and Penguin and Two-Face when it suited him.
Jason perched on rooftops and fire escapes and kept his eyes on the ground. He listened to police scanners and hacked into the Bats' comms.
He didn't look up.
He remembered it, though. The rush of adrenaline when he'd spot the bat illuminated in the sky. As Robin, it meant an adventure was to be had. It meant purpose. Magic.
