"Five years after meeting and first moving in together, and his novel is finally starting to get close to wrapping up. He’s been planning out some extras for when the main story is finished, some extra character arcs he never got to include, things that the main fanbase wouldn’t really be interested but he and I still desire from the novel. One of the arcs includes the character I know is based off my work persona. I have no problem with this, I will clarify — if he had written the main villain based off me, we would have a significantly larger problem, but that’s not the case. I truly don’t mind he has created this character based off of me, after watching me deal with a couple days of virtual board meetings while working from home. He’s a strong character, one who’s grown on me as the story continues to unfold (not as much as the protagonist, of course, though).

While the voices of the Lega became louder and louder, until Damian woke up completely, Batman groaned internally.
He didn't want to explain anything about his private affairs. Besides, there wasn't much to explain in the first place: he had told the truth. Just, not as everyone expected.

No intelligible response came from the nest, except grunts, and Jason, next to him, mocked him, "I told you it would happen. In two years, he would have found a nicer one to replace me."
"Jaybird, that's not the case," he said, wondering how he had become the voice of reason at nineteen. Was it an omega thing? Did you suddenly become balanced and responsible? Not that Dick called himself balanced, especially mentally, but he was fiercely protective of his pack – Bruce, Jason and the Titans alike – and tended to be overprotective.
Bruce was also an omega, and as much as he tended to be a paranoid bastard, he could also make foolish choices.
Like to go out when he knew his heat was about to arrive and impress himself on the first small child he had the misfortune to cross.
