Summary
Growing up, Danny's parents had drilled it into him and Jazz the dangers of summoning rituals. Unlike something like a natural portal or the one they built in the basement, a summoning ritual brought ghosts to you without any clear way to send them back home.
After Danny's accident, he hadn't thought he needed to worry about summoning rituals anymore. After all, he kind of had his hands full with the whole "Ghosts are real and attacking him and also he's half-ghost now" thing.
However, once Danny took up the crown of Ghost King, he found himself having to deal with summoning rituals from the other side. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't constantly confronted with ghosts of a past he had shoved deep down in his heart.
AKA 5 times Danny runs away from Damian after being summoned to Gotham, and the 1 time he stays.

Summary
While Danny had been an unexpected addition to the Wayne family, he was a welcome one. Duke and his siblings had taken to Danny swimmingly, glad to have a new brother who was more than willing to smile and laugh and joke with them. They knew Danny had been through some serious trauma, but that was okay. They'd help him through it.
When the GIW have the audacity to terrorize their newest family member in their own home, the Waynes are quick to jump on the chance to interrogate them. Duke is pretty sure that interrogations are supposed to be nonviolent, but surely Bruce wouldn't mind if they roughed the GIW agents up a LITTLE bit, right?

Summary
It's strange, Danny supposes, to finally feel safe with a parent aged adult.
Sure, Bruce isn't perfect, but he when he messes up he always works his hardest to fix it. Bruce cares for Danny in a way no parent has ever cared for him before. It's strange, and it's different, and Danny feels himself wanting to just sink into it. However doubts still plague his mind. How could he so easily hand his trust over to Bruce? What if he just ended up hurt again? He wants to let Bruce in, he does, but he isn't sure exactly how.
