Summary
Before living with his father, Damian is taught to avoid meeting his soulmate. He's taught that meeting his soulmate will be his downfall, that whatever alpha he's destined to will take away all his freedoms and use him as nothing but a womb to fill. So Damian goes through life avoiding the touch of others, not wanting to take any chances in meeting his mate.
When Damian moves in with his father, he slowly starts letting his guard down in the face of so much casual contact among his new family. And everything seems to go fine, until Damian touches Richard for the first time during a spar. It's then that Damian has some sudden realizations about just what he was taught growing up and how he feels about it all.

Dick has invited himself along, ‘to supervise’, though given the way he’s eyeing the joint in Jason’s hand, Tim assumes he’ll be doing more than that.

“There are books. And temples,” Damian tried with redoubled force to pull him off his jacket, but Tim clung to him with his other hand.
“Lies! I haven't seen a single one dedicated to you! Certainly not in Gotham. And my parents are archaeologists, too!”
“I have many names,” Damian replied dryly and finally shook Tim off. “The fact that you're an uneducated commoner says nothing about me. As for my temples,” the young man backed away. He didn't look like a god: ordinary jeans and a worn jacket with stretched pockets. Worn sneakers. Ordinary hair, black and tousled. Only his eyes stood out — such green eyes simply did not exist in nature, but there they were, right in front of Tim. “As for my temples, they are hidden. But those who want to find them always do.”
