Summary
The Thranduilion features were there: fine boned, aristocratic, unmistakable, but they sat strangely on him, as if someone had taken a prince and taught him to live like a weapon, and now the weapon was being asked to smile nicely and call it reintegration.
Years after being stolen and dragged into Dol Guldur, Legolas has clawed his way back to a home that now feels like a foreign land. He doesn’t want a throne, he wants the South Watch and the anonymity of the barracks.

Summary
Wei Wuxian fell head over heels in love with Lan Wangji right after arriving at the Cloud Recesses, so when Lan Xichen tells him that Lan Wangji’s life hangs in the balance and he’s the only one who can save him, he doesn’t hesitate to offer his help. Saving him requires dual cultivation, however, and he has never even kissed anyone… And Lan Wangji firmly refuses him too.
Fortunately, Lan Xichen agrees to teach him the ways of dual cultivation and promises that they can save his brother together.

“Wei Ying, please,” he pleaded, desperation making his hand hover around Wei Wuxian’s shoulder for a second time.
The image of Wei Wuxian, breathing hard and uneven, his face drawn and his body taut with constant shivers, was a sharp contrast to his typically radiant and carefree appearance. Lan Wangji was struck by the sight, frozen in place, his heart thumping rapidly in his chest. He didn’t know what to do, how to help him.
(Or, Wei Wuxian is afraid of thunderstorms and Lan Wangji wants to help, but don’t know how.)

Summary
The fear of being alone can often go unrecognised for years. Solitude can feel suffocating, and socialisation becomes a solace.
Wei Wuxian had never been lucky - he had been left without a place to call home twice in one lifetime.
Abandoned to his own devices, he struggles to exist in a world without a family to turn to - simply coping with existing the best he can.OR/ Wei Wuxian gets kicked out of his house at 18, and struggles to navigate when left alone.

“Hmph! Yet again you interrupt a lesson with wild theories. You are nothing but a disruptive influence, and don’t know the value of an education.”
As if to emphasise his point, he smacked his hand against the painting. He must have infused his hand with qi, as there was a flash when he tapped the paper, and the totally-not-talismanic-symbols glowed. Most of the class instinctively ducked, but nothing happened, and nothing seemed different when they looked up.
Shoulders relaxed, and subtle sighs of relief were breathed.
And then a voice came from the front of the room, by Lan Qiren’s desk.
During the guest lectures, Lan Qiren accidentally triggers an array that shows a glimpse into the future.
It's certainly educational.
