And then there is Johnny the bubbly claw section leader and his second in command Gaz who make up the 3 ex-infantry soldiers captain Price insisted on bringing with him to the riders quadrant.
For now your job is to stay alive and survive. Because it doesn't matter if you were a year away from graduating if you're dead.

What I can't understand is why... WHY... there is so much blood coming from my wound, and why my body burns like a thousand stars.
Lacy's legs sting from the hundreds of cuts, thorns slice her skin as she tears through the tickets. Panic encircling her mind like a snake squeezing the life from a rat. The blood trailed down her arm, splattering against leaves and dirt with every crash against a branch, or tumble over a rock or log. Her hunter had long since abandoned its prey in favor of returning to its den.
Lacy hadn't noticed, ever little sound sent her further and further over the edge of panic, how could a simple camping trip have gone so wrong. A trip she didn't realize would be her last trip with her friends, her last trip to go camping, the last time she would have true freedom.
Because for the rest of her life she would become a military dog, a part of a pack of other military dogs, and fight for her survival on a turf she never knew how to navigate.
