Summary

The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.
So, he thinks dazedly, as the universe begins to take him apart. This is what happens when you break a Binding Vow.

“Who are you, fucking Johnny Cash? Go back in there and put on something appropriate. This is the PSB New Year’s Eve party, not a bikers’ rendezvous.”

Truly immersive; I couldn't stop reading! Telling the story from Ran's POV is too perfect, and the whole mystery unravels in a way that feels very natural.

Summary
A series centered on Shinichi (Conan), Rei, and Akai, becoming a family of convenience for the sake of their cover and then becoming something a lot more irreplaceable than that. Akai x Rei slow burn, but mostly just family vibes.
Note: I use Shinichi's real name in this story, but he's still in Conan's body. Not a future, post-transformation fic.

A truly thoughtful and memorable series that I find myself re-reading over and over. The family dynamic is priceless, and the slow burn is perfectly paced. "Message in a Bottle," "The Mistletoe Wars" and "Be All My Sins Remembered" are my personal favorite entries!
