I headcannon that lloyd and zane were friends with each others first friends before the other ninja joined!, seriously tho think about it, a boy who’s an outcast because of his father and probably has social anxiety becoming friends with another boy who’s an outcast because of his “weirdness” and very energetic outgoing personality! Y'know? Like lloyd probably helps zanes with understanding social cues, understanding what’s normal or not and keeping him in check, while zane teaches lloyd how to have fun, enjoy life and helps lloyd with work he doesn’t understand from time to time. So I'm writing a fic about that and more!
But of course what's an au and ninjago fanfic without a bit of angst and a few dark themes stay tuned but heed my warning this has a teen an up rating for a reason my good friend so be warned..... *maniacal laughter*
