Starscream’s optics flick up, sharp and piercing, scanning the room for the first time.
They land on Jazz.
Jazz keeps his posture rigid, blank, obedient. He’s been under Optimus Prime’s gaze, under Prowl's, under far more respectable mechs than Starscream; he knows how to hold steady under scrutiny.
Starscream’s stare is… Different.
Calculating. Predatory. Uncomfortably sharp, like a dagger pressed under his chin.
“You.” Starscream says, pointing with the mug. “New.”
Jazz snaps a salute a half-klik faster than regulation.
“Yes, sir. Adagio, sir.”
“I didn’t ask.” Starscream sneers.

Optimus knelt beside Starscream, his massive frame dwarfing the Seeker's slender form. "I will carry him." Without further explanation, he slid one arm beneath Starscream's shoulders and the other under his knees, lifting him with careful precision. The Decepticon's limp form pressed against Optimus's chest plates, his head lolling against the Autobot insignia.
