Tobirama chuckled too. The pain inside didn’t disappear. But something in him felt lighter.
The engines outside were beginning to roar. The plane was preparing for takeoff. Somewhere ahead — a different life. Cleaner. Freer. And right there, in the seat beside him — sat someone he wasn’t afraid to face the future with.
