Summary
Nakahara Chuuya, a new addition to the Yokohama EMS, makes his first call as a student EMT for a suicide, except he never expected it to be someone his age with such a lifelessness in his eyes that if it weren't for the heart rate monitor, he would think he was dead.
After making this patient who overdosed on acetaminophen, he never forgets it. Yet, after so many shifts and patients, the memory becomes grainy in Chuuya's memory. He forgets of this boy, occasionally remembering bits and pieces of the call, but never quite his face or name.
Years later, he makes a call for an attempted suicide again, but he doesn't expect to meet the boy grown up now. The man looks different now, but he still hasn't found a reason to live. After making more calls for this suicidal maniac, Chuuya begins to learn more about the patient, and himself.***TW: major character death, suicide, attempted suicide, self-harm, overdose, hanging, drowning, hurt/comfort, angst, suicidal thoughts, sexual harassment***
