Summary
Aether is the Archon of the Chenyu Valley, a beloved and gentle god that provided his people the protection he is able to isolate them from the warfare outside the world. Alatus had his entire clan slaughtered by the Goddess of Illusions, Shimu, and was adopted by Aether. Through centuries of company, their hearts grew closer. Early texts rumored that General Alatus was the son of the previous Chenyu Valley's Archon, other stories documented that the two was the most powerful combination that won countless battles, songs were written about their everlasting love and mourned the tragic end of the couple. Upon his start of his journey at Liyue, the Traveler had heard folk tales about the kind Archon that has the same description as him (which he hopes to be a coicidence). But what matters most now is that he needs to ask for help from the Adepti, for he was wrongly accused of assassinating Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon. He isn't sure why his left eye kept twitching however.

Aether is the renown florist of Liyue harbor, a young golden man that drives the ladies crazy with just a gentle smile. Whilst Xiao is known as the Prince Alatus of Liyue, a brave and vigilant man on the battlefield but quite distant. The two meet under the brightest star in Lantern Rite, though Xiao was wearing a mask, hiding his identity as the Prince. They were given a short sweet time to be together even if Xiao’s mask never came off for Aether. The time was cut short by the devastating news for Prince Alatus is that he is to meet the Princess of the Abyss at next Lantern Rite, but Xiao made a promise to Aether to meet him at the Rite too. What will happen next?

Aether almost choked on his spit and he was painfully aware of the halting stop that came to Paimon’s absent-minded humming at Albedo’s words. She's staring at both of them and Aether hoped that, for once, she wouldn’t comment on the shift of the atmosphere.
“Uh…” he struggled for words. “Oh? Did I— do something wrong?”
“I’m not sure,” Albedo said.
