Summary
Convincing a leery Hashira to intervene to save Naruto's life was never going to be anything else than a painful ordeal. Iruka did not expect that it would involve being proposed to this many times.

Summary
"Objectively speaking, Sanji’s wedding day is not the worst thing to ever happen to him – there are far too many contenders for that title, but the day of his mother’s death is probably the one topping the chart – but it is on the list somewhere. And not at the bottom, at that."
Or:
Sanji thinks he's marrying the Demon of the East, the Pirate Hunter, a member of the Worst Generation and a cruel pirate, all for his bastard of a father's benefit.
Meanwhile, Zoro is marrying the hot guy he saw once as a picture in Red-Foot Zeff's restaurant. Also, they offered him booze. -

Summary
John MacTavish’s fingers tightened around the pommel of his sparth axe. “This is madness, Anndra. Couldn’t ye buy the man a barrel of ale instead of selling yer brother like a cattle head?”
The year is 1289. Ghost, a sword for hire, saves the life of a Scottish tradesman, Andrew MacTavish, and almost gets a spouse out of it. It probably would have gone fine, weren't it for the fact that he and his Scottish near-betrothed are supposed to escort the same merchant from London to Exeter.

Summary
Sanji is a furry. Zoro is not. They're both at the furry convention.
Or:
What exactly constitutes a meet-cute is entirely dependent on how stupid the involved parties are.

Summary
It wasn’t consecution.
How could it be? Essek wasn’t consecuted. Even if he had been, consecution didn’t work like this. He’d know if it did; he’d spent years searching for any scrap of information about what was happening to him.
He found nothing.
-*-
Every time Essek dies, he wakes up on the day he meets the Mighty Nein. He's tried everything to avoid, subvert or kill them, but so far nothing has worked. He's already died fifteen times. He refuses to die a sixteenth.

Summary
“You accused me of treating this like a game. I am sorry if I’ve led you to believe that it is only a game—though I won't deny that part of it is.” Bren gives a disarming smile. “My life is either games or murder, after all.”
“Or mail fraud,” Thelyss says dryly, not even a little disarmed.
“The mail fraud is a sort of game as well.”
A sigh. “Is this your way of telling me that you intend to continue playing?”
Bren smiles again, sharper. “If you would let me.”(In which Bren Aldric Ermendrud decides to seduce the Shadowhand and finds that the best way to convince someone to be vulnerable with you is to be vulnerable in turn.)

Summary
The first letter Essek receives from Caleb Widogast is secreted into his pocket at some point during a tense interview with the Bright Queen. For the life of him, Essek cannot figure out how it was done. He doesn’t recall so much as brushing against the other man as he escorted the Mighty Nein out of the Lucid Bastion.
Yet when he returns to his office, there it is, tucked into a nearly invisible pocket in his mantle — a piece of subpar parchment folded to vaguely resemble a cat’s face with tiny pointed ears.
