Summary
Four case-control studies that are about control, in four different ways.
Each story stands alone and can be read independently of the others, but they are interwoven and personally I think (hope!) some of the fun is the multiple POV on certain moments that comes from reading them all.
The timeline follows a span of events that overlap, but from 'earliest' to 'latest' the Cases follow posting order, ie 35 first and 143 last, and if you don't have a preference then that's the order I would recommend reading them in.

Summary
Please go out with me. Hyunjin snatched the letter away soon after, shoving it into his bag. Seungmin opened his mouth to tease, then catches his downcast eyes and decides against it. In class he laughs and asks, “have you ever gotten a letter from someone you actually like?”
Hyunjin looks at him. “No.” And he’s quiet the rest of the day.

Summary
There’s a moment when Hyunjin's gaze flickers between Seungmin’s eyes and the space between them. Tempted to close some of that distance by reaching out even if just to brush their fingers together, Hyunjin steps back. He read wrong once, he’s not doing it again.
or; when hyunjin and seungmin drift apart, hyunjin thinks they'll stay apart. but then he falls in love with seungmin all over again.

Summary
“Think about it this way,” Seungmin explains, interrupting Hyunjin before he can ramble any further on how this might backfire on them. “Just pretend like we’re taking our characters, Jiho and Minjun, outside of the script and camera. Like… real-life application, if you want it in math terms.”
“Real-life application,” Hyunjin echoes, considering it.
or, Hyunjin attempts to navigate the fine line between acting and his actual feelings, and tries not to lose his mind in the process.

Summary
“We need to fucking go. Right now.”
Hyunjin’s first instinct kicks in before he has a chance to think. “Right, so now you have time for me? You fucking ghosted me, just disappeared last night!”
“Oh, sorry, next time I’m getting beat up I’ll make sure to reschedule because I have a date,” Seungmin scoffs, grabbing Hyunjin’s arm and pulling him up from his seat.
or, Seungmin pisses off his nemesis, so he has to run away. Hyunjin tags along, because he'll always follow Seungmin around. The problem? Seungmin is leaving for good, and Hyunjin isn't supposed to leave with him, because he isn't supposed to be in love. It's just a fling after all.
