The party was Hange’s fault.
Levi had been perfectly content sitting in his apartment at eleven thirty on a Friday night with a cup of black tea and the specific kind of misery that only October midterm season could manufacture.
‘come to Miche’s place. it’s not optional. i will literally come drag you out of your cave levi swear to god.’
He stared at the text from Hange, followed immediately by:
‘erwin’s not coming btw.’
That was, of course, the only reason Levi had put on a clean black shirt.

“Oh, save it. Don’t involve me in your stupid gambles. God, I didn’t know that got you off…” He was grumbling now as he stood, wiping his legs off with the already dirtied linen. “I’m going to bathe, don’t even think of joining me. Not until whatever this,” Levi gestured to all of him, “is, is out of your system.” And with that he stormed off.
Erwin rubbed his decidedly real hand over his face, sighing heavily.

Summary
Levi had little reason to deny any accusations of being a difficult person. He would defend with certainty that he was difficult to talk to, difficult to read, difficult to love, to enjoy. When you don’t deny such things, in fact, when you warn people; I bite, I am a beast, I have never known myself to be soft, it almost becomes the burden of others to bear the hurt.
You were hurt? Ah, you should have never gotten so close. Those things bite. They're wild. They're cruel.
