Summary
Central was awful. Mustang was awful. Everything was awful, up to and including every single person Olivier worked with. Honestly, the attempted assassination was a blessing in disguise. At least she could go and stab someone instead of imagining increasingly violent ways to kill Mustang every time he smirked at her from across the table.
In which Olivier is nearly murdered, begrudgingly works with Mustang, and is all around very tired of everyone's shit.

He kept up his grumbling all the way to the door, where he was both stupid and tired enough to forgo checking the peephole before ripping it open.
“It better be important-” he snapped, the perfect picture of a disgruntled military commander, but the rest of the tirade died thick and sour on his tongue.
On his doorstep, his hand still raised, finger pointed as if to abuse the doorbell yet again, stood a young blond boy, drenched to the bone and looking at him like he had lost his mind.
“Yuriy?” he breathed and rubbed at his eyes once more to make sure the child wasn't a mirage of some sort.

Ed's (pre)teen son shows up on Roy Mustang's doorstep in the middle of the night. This is troubling for several reasons!
