Cassandra, in the ultimate betrayal, laughed aloud.

Vi blinked. She hadn't expected that.
But she recovered quickly, casually plucking a cupcake from the plate in front of her. "Nah, that was just my sunny personality that got me there," she said and took a slow bite.

The rest of the bar howled with laughter and Vi could do nothing but groan and down another beer.
