Summary
Instead of waking up to the bright future she had worked really, really hard for, she was instead greeted by something impossible before her eyes.
A desperate part of her cried at the cruelty of it all, lashing out at the unfortunate luck of finding herself in a world not her own and inhabiting a body equally strange, desperately trying to claw her way out.
But, as time passed by, those feelings turned into melancholy and soon transformed into longing.
Slowly, she accepted the fate that had been forcibly given to her, even though she hadn't wished for it to happen. She persevered, realizing she had no choice in the matter.
They said change was scary, but to her, being quick to adapt and quickly pushing aside those feelings for self-preservation was the most terrifying of all.
Or - someone being transported into a world she used to love (and now hates, questioning why she was transported in Inazuma, on a new place, after the Archon War ended but before the Cataclysm happened) and into the body of a different entity she had been obsessed with back in the day. This sudden change made her feel as if the world wanted to give her a big slap on the face.

When his sister finally grew, Aether became afraid.

I was just a plain household nanny who was secretly an otaku. Currently, I'm taking care of a hermit daughter from a rich yet neglectful family. My charge was the Chuuni kind. She would always go on about darkness and being destined or whatnot. But as an otaku, it was endearing and such a novel experience. So I stayed since the pay was great and the kid, Emilia, grew on me.
Her quirks and all.
Then one night came and it all became dark. I didn't really expect to get murdered along with my charge and co-worker that night.
I most definitely did not anticipate being shot in the head and waking up to an anime I've seen before... And in a clone's body to boot.
Oh... and let's add that my coworker, who also happens to be along with my charge, suddenly turned into a pet... *cough! a familiar, as the chuuni Emilia became her favorite character from a well-known game.
but I think me and my fellow worker were the Tag-along and my charge, Emilia, became some sort of Isekai Protagonist.
