The battle against Irontomb was triunfant, with the Erudition still intact, and Amphoerus having broken the shackles of fate, they may now have the peaceful life they wished for now that their world had been reborn.
But Phainon. The Deliverer who had sacrificed his own sanity, and whole being to bring this new dawn. He had disappeared, for months they searched, even contacting the express to see if he could be found.
Till he came, one day, Phainon stepped into Okhema as if he had left for some hours. Everyone came to greet him, the joy of being all together overwhelming.
But that wasn't Phainon.
Phainon didn't have red eyes, nor spiky hair or talked in a mocking tone with a highly superiority complex.
None noticed, none beside Mydei. Who by a reason was chosen to be the one who saw the glitches, the red eyes, the disdainful looks.

Summary
The Flame Reaver disappears into the slash in spacetime they’ve created, and Phainon shouts a final challenge as the wound heals itself into nothing. After he turns around, huffing from the effort of the fight he’s just failed to finish, he asks Aglaea why she’s got that troubled look on her face.
She doesn’t say anything, but her fingers flick imperceptibly as if trying to twinge a gold thread.
The smell of voice her threads reverberate on, the man standing in front of her right now, is Phainon. A thick blood like that is unmistakable.
But that Flame Reaver’s voice… smells the exact same.
(or, Aglaea rediscovers her humanity, and becomes the Flame Reaver’s ally along the way.)
