Summary
When the burger factory was first commissioned, I was promised it would be for therapeutic cloning only. Muscle tissue for meburgers; organs if I needed them; but no experimenting with brain tissue. And absolutely no reproductive cloning – that is, making a whole other me. My provisions were ratified by the Eridian legislative body over a decade ago, and it's the reason I gave up my stem cells willingly – well, that, and I missed meat. A lot.
I mean, I miss hugs too, but not so badly I would condemn another human to live his entire life inside this dome with me. Don't get me wrong, I like Erid; I'm happy here. But to never know Earth, to only have yours truly for human company… that's a pretty raw deal. I couldn't conscience bringing a new life into the wrong world – and neither could my Eridian hosts.
Or so I thought.

Summary
Changed or not, five limbs or four, she had a mission to do. Billions of people were counting on her, trillions of life forms. So long as she had breath in this fucked up body of hers, she would not rest until she saved the Earth or died trying. And then died after. Only heroes got the heroin overdose.
Or
Ilyukhina and Yáo were not buried in space, but on Erid, along with the crew of the Blip-A. For reasons beyond their understanding, they both wake back up, but something is seriously wrong with them. And why isn't Grace among them?

Summary
Three years after the probes carrying Taumoeba and Dr. Ryland Grace's final message arrive on Earth, humanity launches an interstellar spaceship with a brand new mission. Thirty-six crew members (including two graduates of a certain San Franciscan junior high school) travel to the star 40-Eridani to make friendly contact with the Eridians and bring them the alien life form from Tau Ceti-E that can save their star if Dr. Grace's sacrifice failed.
Grace, now fifty-seven years old, is just trying to balance his life as a teacher while no longer being the only human on the planet anymore. It's a big adjustment, but Rocky and the Terra's Grace crew are going to make sure he's well taken care of.

Summary
“Rocky not explain question?” asked Adrian slowly.
“Busy,” said Rocky, sheepish.
“Had four years on ship.”
“Busy then too.”
Adrian skittered back and forth, which I think equated to a human throwing both hands up in exasperation. “With what question?”
“Science!”
“Whole time science question? Four years!”
“Is much science in universe!”--
Rocky has neglected to explain some very important cultural context to Grace.
