Summary
since Félix is based on the original MLB i thought that if he when he saw Marinette confessing to Adrien on the phone he would have recognized her as Bridgette (who had died tragically as the ladybug before Marinette and Félix before Adrien), he has become obsessed with trying to find out every detail about her and finds out she’s ladybug and is trying to find ways of freeing her from being guardian of the Miraculous by working with Hawkmoth. And when he got his hands on the “Peacock Miraculous” he was trying to find the right moment to use it on her to make her his Bridgette. All that planning out into action at the Diamond gala/ball.
