Daenerys Targaryen did not conquer the Bay of Dragons to be painted as a poor strategist.
Dany sets foot on Dragonstone—the first Targaryen to do so since Robert's Rebellion—and gets to work. She sets her sights on King's Landing while whispers of the Long Night are growing louder. It all starts with a prophecy. Lord Voldemort has been given a new prophecy, one that will guarantee him untold magical powers. Unfortunately his success depends on the fulfillment of the prophecy by none other than Draco Malfoy.
Draco Malfoy's 16th summer was not like other boys' 16th summers. Lucius goes to prison, the Dark Lord takes up residence in Malfoy Manor, his mother, on the verge of collapsing from the trauma of it all, has other responsibilities that don't include mothering a 16-year-old boy.
Draco must weather what is to come on his own.
Draco receives the Dark Mark and is given two missions: Kill Albus Dumbledore and fix the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Hidden Things. Piece of cake, right?
But, before he can go back to Hogwarts, he is sent to train with his aunt, Bellatrix Lestrange at Lestrange Manor, an insane woman who considers torture an art and training a happy benefit of that. For Draco to even make it to Hogwarts he must endure what is done to him and above all survive.
