Kdyby se někdo Aloise Marvala zeptal, zda očekával, že se něco takového přihodí, přirozeně by odpověděl, že všechny strany této aféry včetně svědků již podepsaly NDA a tudíž nemohou vypovídat, jelikož trest za porušení jejich agreementu se pohybuje někde mezi podmínkou a usmrcením, a on jako businessman bohužel nemůže být v tomto ohledu příliš měkký.
Skutečná odpověď samozřejmě je, že se to stát prostě muselo. Bylo to patrné již od Marvalova příchodu do Díry, a dost možná se to dalo odhadnout už dávno předtím. Koneckonců, statistika a risk management Aloise živí, a proto by měl být připravený i na ten nejméně očekávaný vývoj situace. Ovšem, toto byla analýza situace, které bude schopný teprve potom, co daná věc již proběhla. Stejně jako když jeho akcie začnou zdánlivě znenadání stoupat, v prvních několika momentech nemá potřebu přemýšlet nad důvodem proč. Stačí pouze chytit se náhlého přívalu euforie a doufat, že vydrží co nejdéle.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
