Meanwhile, the 4077th shelters a group of orphans whose town is in the line of fire. Hawkeye overextends himself until he collapses in front of BJ, who is there to help.

Hawkeye is trying to rest off a bad flu bug, but drags himself out of the tent to meet the Colonel inspecting the 4077th. He expects to be free to go back to bed after a quick greeting, but the inspector insists he attend, regardless of the circumstances. The team have to sneakily take care of him to keep him on his feet until the inspection is over. Lots and lots of hurt/comfort.
title is a dessa song and it's one of my favorite lyrics by her :)

“Damn it,” he swore.
