Summary
Having trouble sleeping, Patroclus finds himself deep in thought on the sands of troy.
Patroclus understands Achilles not as a legend, but as a human being and he mourns that the prophecy leaves very little room for Achilles to simply live and be loved.
Achilles’ pursuit of immortal fame pisses him off and Patroclus keeps hoping they can escape it somehow.
Or Patroclus and Achilles have a conversation on the sand.

Summary
Buck was tired of hospitals. He would love more than anything to never go into a single one for the next year at least. (He’s being realistic, at this point every doctor they visit seems to be aware of who they are.)

Summary
Buck cradles him, almost, moves Eddie’s head to rest gently in the crevice of his elbow. He doesn’t stop touching him, feather-light all over, from his cheek to his hair to his waist to his thigh and all the way back up again. Like he’s trying to fit a lifetime of love in a single movement. Like he’s finally starting to accept that this is all they’ve been allowed. Like he can see the color draining from Eddie’s face despite him just having been shocked back to life.
Buck and Eddie get trapped in an elevator.

Summary
When the doors open, she is instantly relieved to see a familiar face. She even manages a small smile at her former colleague. “Eddie, hey—”
The smile instantly drops from her face as she fully takes him in. His brow is lowered and his eyes narrowed, and he is slightly hunched over with his hands clutching his side. His bloody hands.
She rushes to him just as the elevator doors close behind them. “What happened?” she asks, letting him lean on her for support.
“There’s… a shooter,” Eddie says.
No no no no no no.
Not him too.OR, May rushes to the hospital when her mom gets shot and finds Eddie bleeding out in the elevator.
