Summary
To Kakuzu, every life has a price - and few are worth keeping. But when he encounters a bounty that pays suspiciously well for its target alive, he can't shake the feeling she's worth more than the reward itself. Forced into the ranks of the Akatsuki, Kaida braces herself for monsters, only to discover that even they are more complicated than legend would have her believe. As the line between enemy and ally begins to blur, she begins to wonder whether even clouds stained red can carry a silver lining.

Summary
Kaida knows the seasons by heart. She knows when lambing will begin, when the first frost will come, and exactly how long it takes her sheep to find new and inventive ways to escape a perfectly good fence. She has yet to win that particular argument. What she doesn’t know is why the Akatsuki bounty hunter who visits the collection office down the road keeps finding reasons to return to her farm. He does not appear to be lost. This is, in its own way, more concerning. A story told through changing seasons, repaired fences, shared meals, and the slow, quiet realisation that sometimes home is something built one visit at a time - even when you are fairly certain you were not attempting to build anything at all.

Summary
I moved cities for cheaper rent. I moved hospitals out of necessity. As a transplant preservationist, I expected the usual: long shifts, cold rooms, and professional distance. What I got instead was a surgeon who categorises people like assets, a reputation built on the belief that mistakes are expensive (and forgiveness isn’t budgeted), and a job that’s meant to keep hearts cold but somehow keeps mine warm. Everything else about my life is “normal” - if surviving dramatic, terrifying, and maybe marginally insane coworkers counts as normal.

What had started as a money laundering scheme, had somehow quickly turned into a legitimate business. Kakuzu had found it relaxing, a welcome change of pace from the world of loan sharking where he had to chase people down and use threats, coercion and even force in order to get them to pay back what they owed him with interest.
Dealing with flowers was much more pleasant, as people paid up front and went on their way, either with their flowers in hand or waiting for deliveries.
The only thing Kakuzu hadn’t anticipated was Hidan wanting to continue their business partnership and insisting Kakuzu hire him on at the flower shop.
