Instead of passing away on the journey there, Ilyukhina finds herself awake on board the Hail Mary with no memory of how or why she is there and a random science teacher with the same memory problems to keep her company. Now, she just has to try and save the world while battling the random assortment of memories that threaten to undo the calm facade she had so carefully built up.

Summary
A conversation between Grace and Stratt back on Earth. Takes place after Ryland has gone to Erid and they fix/supply his ship for return. He takes it home and has a conversation with a much older Eva Stratt who has had a lifetime to think about her decision. He has had just over 8 years of space travel, to and from Erid, to think about things not to mention the time he spent on Erid itself.
I wrote this for catharsis for myself.
