Summary
Armand doesn't know who he is when he's alone.
That's reason enough to over look it when Louis cheats on him with Lestat.
Or
Louis cheated on his husband with his coworker Lestat. He expected Armand to leave him. Felt he deserved it. When he doesn’t, Louis would sooner break both their hearts to not see Armand make himself a doormat then disrespect him further like this.
Oh, Lestat didn't get the memo that what he and Louis had was just a fling and has already started the divorce process for him and his wife.

Summary
Armand, Louis, and Lestat have all been together for the better part of five years now.
Armand still sees so much passion and energy between Louis and Lestat that he thinks there's no place for him anymore in that. He thinks he's just a burden in the relationship and wonders if he'd be doing the best for them by walking away.
Louis and Lestat can not imagine the Hell that would be their relationship with each other without their calming and ever so loving and lovable anchor Armand. He keeps them stable. Keeps them from going too far. Provides a middle ground between the extremes of Louis and Lestat on the spectrum of their love. They adore him but know they can show it calmly and without the burden of constantly being on 100% like when they're with each other.
So of course they enter full panic mode when Armand breaks up with them.
or
Story of Armand leaving their relationship and Louis and Lestat pretty much love bombing him to come back thinking their toxic nature is what drove him away.

Summary
When Armand is lying amidst dust and concrete in the silence of the Dubai penthouse, his first thought is, I’d do it again.
It’s the last thing he thinks before the first rays of sunlight begin to filter in from the other room. For the first time in over a hundred years, he allows it to coax him into slumber. Let Louis return and find him. Let him follow through on his threats. The faint warmth creeps over his aching form, burning slightly as it touches still-healing wounds.
Armand wonders, vaguely, why it takes his whole world falling apart for him to feel relieved enough to rest.
“What do you think, Maître?” Santiago asks, and Armand opens his eyes.
Armand is sent back in time to Paris, shortly before the trial. Set directly after the events of Season 2.

Piece of cake! — or not.

Summary
Assumed dead after his banishment, Zuko takes up The Blue Spirit mask. No one has seen his face in three years, and he won't let them. It's safer this way, being alone. After a Fire Nation general hires him to bring in Hakoda for questioning, he fails the job miserably and ends up a captive of the Water Tribe. When Sokka is employed by Iroh to track down Zuko and find out if he is still alive, The Blue Spirit claims that Zuko is in fact dead, and in a fit of panic, that he was the one who killed him.
