Summary
Zaria has always known they’re the best. She’d always known it would be the two of them at the top of the ladder.
She’d always known.
And yet, she still hadn’t expected the top of the ladder, in front of thousands of people, on live television, to be the place her underbelly was made exposed and explicit for everyone to see. She hadn’t expected the person to take advantage of it to be the person it was made of.

Summary
“You’re the reason I’m this way,” Zaria says, and it’s bitter, breaking, all harsh edges; Sol flinches. “I was fine before I met you. Efficient. Feared. Didn’t have any problems getting things done in the ring. Then you come along and soften me up. Make me doubt myself. Am I being too rough, too ruthless? A dog on a fucking leash.”
She takes a step forward.
"Worse, whenever you’re around, I worry about whether you’re getting hurt. By yourself, by others. I lose focus. And what do I get for it? A grueling match and a shoulder reset against a ringpost?” Sol’s eyes dart to the shoulder in question. Zaria feels the ghost of the ache, the awful pop and burn that hasn’t healed right. "My partner abandoning me when I’m outnumbered in a championship match?” Zaria walks forward, points at Sol’s chest but doesn’t touch. “I’m useless with it, all the love I have. And you have the nerve to think I’m dead weight? When it’s your fault? When I’m only what you’ve made me?”
OR
After Gold Rush, Zaria decides if Sol wants a good partner, willing to sacrifice everything, Zaria will give her that.

Summary
This isn’t how it was supposed to go.
Zaria was supposed to come to her senses, see the error of her ways, come crawling back and beg for Sol’s forgiveness. And Sol, in her infinite mercy, would grant it. They could go back to how they were, together, united, and hopelessly in love.
It wasn’t supposed to go like this.
Sol wasn’t supposed to be the one hurting. Zaria wasn’t supposed to move on.
