Summary
Barely to Dantooine, and already Carth was stressed about what the Jedi might have in store. They anticipated something from Asira, given she’d been assigned to accompany Bastila on the Endar Spire. It became increasingly clear that he didn't just care for her; he was drawn to her – in ways he couldn’t fully explain. Hopefully, whatever made her special to the Jedi didn’t matter anymore. Things had changed since the Spire, and the thought of being without her was akin to leaving a piece of him behind.

A continuation of 'Claiming the Light' that follows Carth and Revan's (Asira) time on Dantooine where they are told a Force bond has formed between them (as well as between Revan and Bastila). They learn to navigate the bond and each other while Revan trains for what lies ahead. Carth POV and Revan POV.

It wasn’t rational, but after trying everything else within his limited power, he swore his voice calmed her frenzy. He’d left her alone only twice. Once to scavenge for essentials. Once to wander the streets, hoping to hear even a whisper that Bastila Shan was still alive. But mostly, he was at her side. Watching. Waiting. Wondering.

A detailed exploration of Carth and Revan's (Asira, uh-seer-uh) thoughts and feelings as they develop a romantic and physical relationship trying to escape Taris. Slow-ish burn. More than a simple rehash of the plot. Carth POV and Revan POV.
