Summary
Chloe Bourgeois has changed. A lot - all thanks to a car accident when she was sixteen, which resulted in her relying on a wheelchair. Despite the awfulness of going from being a perfectly able bodied teen to a young woman requiring a mobility aid to exist, it changed her for the better; leaving Paris, and living in Switzerland for eight years. But when her father falls ill, Chloe decides to leave her life behind and return to Paris, despite nobody outside of her family knowing what happened to Chloe, assuming she just disappeared off of the face of the earth.
Luka Couffaine is a famous musician, who had a very public breakup. And mental breakdown. And stint in rehab (for alcoholism). All in all, the last two years of Luka’s life have been pretty shit. Mainly because he doesn’t know who he is anymore. Or maybe… because he’s afraid to show the world who he really is?

Chloé would be the first to admit that she’s not a nice person. If she were feeling particularly self-reflective, she might even be willing to admit that it makes her less than suitable to be a hero. She was no Rossi, though. She knew Rossi didn’t get along with Dupain-Cheng any more than Chloé herself did, but this latest plan was…unthinkable, and Chloé would never be able to live with herself if she didn’t intervene on her souffre-douleur’s behalf. That still didn’t make her a hero, though, not considering everything else she’d done.
Or at least she didn’t think so.
