Summary

Summary
Alpha Dean Winchester co-runs a large pack with his little brother Sam, and mentor Ellen Harvelle. It's a rough life, the way of the gun and toughest-alpha-wins rules, but that works for Dean. Their pack is healthy, successful, and safe. Dean is about as close to content as he knows how to be. It only takes one, tiny little fight to throw an Omega-shaped cog in the works.
This story is completely AU. If it sounds a bit in the style of Firefly, that's not an accident. There will be smut, don't you worry, but it's gonna take me a minute to get there.

Summary
Dick gets fired from being Robin. And he quits, sort of. Regardless, Gotham can’t be his home anymore. Bruce and Dick have never been father and son without being Batman and Robin, not really. Dick doesn’t feel like they know how. Dick spends a summer leaning on his friends and trying to figure out what to do while trying to reconcile the fact that the place he was promised isn’t there anymore. Also, he’s pretty sure he’s in love with his best friend, which is entirely unhelpful.
It’s messy, it’s complicated, it’s them figuring it out.

“Rao, Bruce, I’m so sorry,” Clark said.
Bruce knit his eyebrows together in confusion. “What happened on the mission?”
Now it was Clark who looked confused. “The mission?”
Bruce pulled up his tablet and began logging into the database. “You just came back from the JLA mission to Braal, no? Hal filed the report already.” Bruce tapped on the screen to open the report and scanned his eyes over it. “Looks like it went alright.”
A horrified look dawned on his friend’s face. “You don’t know.”
“Know what,” Bruce said, now starting to feel annoyed at clearly being out of the loop of whatever Clark was talking about.
“Bruce, I don’t hear his heart.”
Four months ago, Agent 37 returned from Spyral, and faced his family’s anger at the betrayal.
One month ago, John Doe was shot and killed in a mugging.
Three days ago, Superman came to offer his condolences after returning from an off-world mission.
Now, Dick Grayson is lowered into the ground once again.
OR: Dick dies alone and his family grieves.
