Summary
“Oh come on! There’s so many people at that party!”
“Yeah, but they’re not you, Sonic.” Shadow cupped the hero’s face, moving it so he could gaze at his emerald eyes, face lacking the usual scowl that warped his striking features. The blue hedgehog shamelessly stared back, wonder glinting in his eyes and a slight red tint warming his cheeks. Shadow wasn’t wrong; Sonic’s absence was always the first to be noticed, his bright personality and renowned heroism making him a beloved public figure. Everyone would feel his sudden disappearance from the party, whether he liked it or not.
“But I wanna stay here with you…”
Shadow sighed. He would be lying if he said he didn't want Sonic to keep him company, especially since they hadn’t seen each other in a week. But was he really so weak that he would jeopardize their whole secret for a few kisses?
“... Just a bit longer.”
Yeah, obviously, he was.
Or: Nine times Shadow and Sonic have to hide their relationship and one time they don't have to.

Summary
If you had asked anyone who knew Shadow (a rather short list, even shorter if you ignored those who only knew the sting of his punches and nothing more), they would agree that finding him at a bar would be highly unusual.
So, why was he here now? And apparently as a regular guest too.
The answer would’ve probably shocked even Rouge, his closest friend (this title only graced her name when Shadow was feeling particularly intoxicated).
For the dark and brooding hedgehog, the ‘Ultimate Life Form’, was here for the bi-weekly live music event.Or: Shadow is a fan of live music, and Sonic has a secret band; needless to say, Shadow is conflicted.

Summary
The dark hedgehog grimaced, showing, for the first time, any hint of emotion that unbound them from the perception of a surreal creature, the deceitful veil of an extraterrestrial being lifting and leaving Sonic even more intrigued.
“Well, people don’t usually just… walk in.”
“So you leave it open? Like that? That doesn’t feel very safe dude.” Sonic’s eyebrow was raised in disbelief; that might’ve been the dumbest reason not to lock your front door, and believe him, he knew dumb. Did this idiot want to be murdered?
Or: Sonic found a vampire in an old mansion and decided to befriend him! Unfortunately, he's gay, and deeply in love with said vampire.
